Bleach Episode 5

Beat the invisible enemy!
Rukia is facing a hollow and then it says that she smells wonderful. She knees him, swings around onto his back, jumps off and fires a spell at him. She is thinking that she got her powers back but then realizes that his spell didn't hurt the hollow. The hollow recognizes the spell as a soul reaper spell, and says that Rukia's was so weak it had no "bite" to it.

Ichigo is running back to Rukia and remembers Karin crying in the last episode. He says,"How many years has it been since I last saw Karin cry?" He remembers how Karin used to be a crybaby like Yuzu. He explains how his sisters acted after their mother's death. Yuzu started doing chores and Karin stopped crying all together. He remembers Karin telling him to help the boy.

The hollow holds Rukia up against a wall and tells her that she's weak and to become a soul reaper. Chad nails a punch right in the hollow's face and says,"Hey, I hit something. All right." Rukia asks herself if he can see spirits, but then sees him punching the air. The hollow says it was a lucky punch and that Chad scared him for a second because he thought Chad could see him. Chad punches him again in the face. Rukia comments that Chad is facing an opponent he can't see or hear.

The hollow flies into the air and says that Chad isn't going to hit him now or even see him coming. Rukia tells Chad what happened and tells him to move. Chad asks her if she can see ghosts and she tells him that he has to get out of the way. He asks her where the hollow is and tells her to tell him when it charges. Rukia asks him what he'd do and he says,"When you got flies, you use a fly swatter." The hollow is running scenarios of how to attack and Chad lifts the telephone pole out of the ground. Chad asks her where it is and she tells him that it's dead ahead. He brings the pole down like a hammer just as Rukia commanded. The hollow is on the ground and Rukia informs him that he's through because another soul reaper is on his way. The hollow laughs and she asks him what's so funny. The hollow gets up and says that soul reapers always get humiliated by hollows. Frog like creatures jump from behind them and pin Chad and Rukia. The hollow goes on about how soul reapers take them to lightly and asks himself who he'll eat first.

Chad breaks free and the hollow says that he's the craziest human he's ever seen because he thinks he can defeat him with sheer muscle power. Chad almost lands a hit but the hollow dodges it and says that he has good instincts. Rukia commands Chad to kick the frogs off her and he does. The hollow flies into the air again and Rukia tells Chad that she has a plan. She is on his shoulder and he says that there are some problems with her plan. Rukia tells her not to worry and Rukia helps him aim her. Chad launches her into the air to the hollow and the hollow pretends to be defeated. He has a frog shot leeches at her sending her falling down, Chad catches her, and she thanks him. Rukia tries to get them off and the hollow tells her she can try but they won't come off. He says,"They have a nasty little habit of exploding!" He sticks out his tongue and creates a high pitched sound that explodes the leeches on Rukia. She falls to the ground and Chad asks him how he did that. The hollow explains to him that when he makes a certain frequency with his tongue, they explode. The hollow uses the bird to stop Chad from getting any closer and Rukia realizes that was what the hollow was doing earlier. The hollow says,"Now, let's play a new game. Muscle head stays put. While I play tag with the soul reaper. Rukia tells him to stay and that she'll be okay.

She runs away and the hollow follows her. Two frogs run on both sides of Rukia and shoot leeches at her. She jumps just in time on to a tree, but there was one behind her and she didn't have enough time to react. Rukia gets sprayed with leeches and the hollow detonates them. He laughs, says that red becomes her, and throws a frog at her. Rukia starts running and doesn't get hit. He keeps throwing leeches at her and she stops suddenly. He asks if she's done and tells her to run more. She says that she hasn't given up and that there is no reason for her to run anymore.

Ichigo steps right on his head and Rukia says,"Perfect timing, Ichigo." Ichigo and Rukia talk a little and the hollow stands back up. Ichigo jumps off and the hollow asks him who he is. Ichigo introduces him and tells him that if he wants to play tag he should chase him. The hollow says he screwed up because he should have gone after Ichigo. The hollow shoots a bunch of leeches and explodes them. Rukia turns Ichigo into a soul reaper using her glove and Ichigo scratches the hollow. The hollow says that Ichigo was too slow, and that his soul is going to be "tasty". Ichigo understands and says that the hollow used the leech bombs to tie up Chad and hurt a defenseless girl. Ichigo says that it's time to pay, and the hollow says that the only price he's paying is indigestion.

Chad comes, sees Ichigo on the ground, and asks him what's wrong. Rukia tells him not to worry and go away. He asks where Ichigo is, and Rukia says that he's fighting to protect them all.

Ichigo slices the three frogs that come at him and then the hollow reminds him that they're still live ammunition. He explodes them and Ichigo jumps out of the cloud of dust and stops the hollow's head. He asks the hollow if he killed the bird's mother. Rukia asks if it's true and the bird says that all he wanted was to see him mom again. Rukia asks him how he could believe that if he obeyed the hollow he would get to see his mother again. The hollow says because he wanted to and admits to killing the bird's mother. Ichigo says,"You bastard!" The hollow explains that he was a famous serial killer when he was alive. He says that the bird's mother was her last kill because the kid made him lose his balance and fell off the balcony. He says that he put the boy into the bird and that he promised him he'd bring his mom back to life if he helped him. Ichigo asks,"How could you do that?" The hollow explains that he couldn't and that he just said it to make the kid play along. The hollow talks about how he used the boy and how the boy told him not to hurt them. He says that whenever he'd say that he'd remind the kid of his mother. The hollow throws two frogs at Ichigo and Ichigo grabs the leeches. He puts them in the hollow's mouth and asks him if he's going to detonate them now. Ichigo pulls out his tongue and exorcises the hollow. The gates of the Underworld appear and Rukia explains that the doors are only opening for him. She tells Ichigo that the zanpaktou(sword) only cleanses crimes done while a hollow and that those who commit terrible sins while alive go to the Underworld. The gates close and shatter. Ichigo says,"So that's the Underworld."

Ichigo asks what's wrong and she explains that she can't return the boy's soul back to his body because his chain of fate has been cut. Rukia tells him not to be said Rukia assures him that the Soul Society is a great place and better than this world. Ichigo tells the bird that the bird is on the other side and that he can see his mother again. The bird thanks Chad and Chad asks if when he passes on if he could carry him around. The boy says yes and Ichigo performs the konso(soul burial).

Karin is back at home in her bed and thanks Ichigo.
